Fluid Rehab understands that recovery from injury, illness or psychological issues is a dynamic, ever changing, ever evolving process. As recovery progresses, so do the requirements of the workplace rehabilitation provider. When high level support, communication and direction is required it will be provided. Similarly, at times when the rehabilitation process requires low level monitoring, service provision will be adjusted to meet the need and preserve workers’ compensation vocational rehabilitation entitlements and minimise the cost to business and insurers. Services are delivered by experienced Workplace Rehabilitation Consultants with a ranging knowledge of injury recovery and rehabilitation, a practical understanding of the Western Australian workers’ compensation system, and expertise in the workplace rehabilitation process. All Consultants have at least 10 years within the the workplace rehabilitation industry, each having worked with a significant number of injured workers recovering from a range of injuries, across varied industries, with many employers. Fluid Rehab values a close working relationship with all parties involved in the rehabilitation process, including the worker, their employer, medical practitioners, allied health professionals and the insurer. Fluid Rehab also understand the various demands on the different parties involved in the workplace rehabilitation process and, with awareness of this, will tailor communication and service delivery accordingly. Fluid Rehab places significant importance on communication; this is essential to the successful rehabilitation of a worker. Communication tailored appropriately for the audience - technical communication with relevant parties where required; the interpretation and translation of technical information into lay-terms if or when required. Ultimately, communication to ensure all parties understand clearly, and wholly, the information relating to the successful rehabilitation of an injured worker. And Fluid Rehab understands the importance of returning to full function as quickly as possible. for workplace rehabilitation services can be made by any involved party. A direct self-referral by an injured worker, referral by an employer, treating medical practitioner or insurer. Referral may be for WorkCover WA / workers' compensation full-service workplace rehabilitation, workers' compensation specific service-only referral or non-comp full rehab or specific service referral.

Occupational Therapist Managing Director Adam has worked in the workers compensation injury management industry since 1996 with experience as a consultant, manager, staff trainer, staff mentor and student supervisor. Adam has worked as a private sector service provider in Western Australia and the Northern Territory with significant experience in the WorkCover WA, NT WorkSafe and Comcare systems. Adam has also worked as an in-house employer-based injury management consultant. An Occupational Therapist by training, with an interest in ergonomics, Adam has significant experience in workplace injury prevention, physical and psychological injury rehabilitation and ergonomic assessment of workplaces across a broad range of industries, having approached rehabilitation situations from various perspectives. Adam has a thorough understanding of all aspects of the workplace rehabilitation sphere with significant experience as a private workplace rehabilitation provider, as an employer-based workplace rehabilitation provider, and as a manager, business owner and employer. Close working relationships are of prime importance to Adam. These relationships create open communication lines, allow efficient plans to be set, enable issues arising to be identified early and actioned, create detailed awareness of the requirements of the customer (be it the injured worker, employer, insurer or medical practitioner), and often manage to make day to day interactions human, social, and easy. Adam has completed Working Safely at Heights training, Helicopter Underwater Escape Training and Sea Survival training. Adam facilitates the Injury Management Coordinator course developed by Edith Cowan University and delivered on behalf of Elect Training & Consulting (monthly). Adam also facilitates the Workers Compensation and Workplace Rehabilitation training module of the RACGP General Practitioner Registrar education program (bi-annually).
